I am an experienced music teacher, having taught privately for a number of years. I also have extensive experience teaching English as a foreign language in French schools. When it comes to music and/or language lessons, it is important that the balance is right between practical application of skills and engaging academic study, as focusing too much on one of these will slow progress or cause the student to lose interest.
I have a music degree from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, and have since worked not only as a music and language teacher but most recently in a corporate environment, for the French-founded accountancy firm Mazars. This professional experience has given me the skills to be an organised and dedicated tutor. I combine my tutoring with professional singing work in London.
