About Usama A

Medical Student tutoring Biology and Maths

Hi, I'm Usama! I'm a fourth year Medical Student at Imperial College London and am very keen to help people achieve success in their academic lives. Studying Medicine has been a great privilege for me, and it will be just as big as privilege to help students achieve their dreams. I sit on the interview panel for Imperial so know what I'm talking about when it comes to Medical school applications, and it is next to impossible to get through Medical School without having a thorough understanding of the sciences.

I have delivered lots of tutorials to the younger years at Imperial, so I do have lots of teaching experience. Not only this, but I have experience in teaching at schools as well. I visit schools every year or so to teach Year 9 classes about the importance of looking after their mental health, as well as educating children on the danger of alcohol and drugs. To teach such a sensitive topic has helped me gain a lot of experience in dealing with such issues. This is further reinforced by my experience in working in hospitals, where we often see people at their most vulnerable. Both experiences, however, have taught me one skill that is vital when trying to teach or get your point across: patience. I am a patient individual who strives to help people achieve their full potential.
