About Chloe C

GCSE Science and 11+ Tutor + Music Teacher for beginners

Hello! My name is Chloe and I am a gap year student hoping to teach anyone of all ages a range of different subjects. Besides having a love for science and academia, I also enjoy playing the piano and violin. During my time at secondary school I used to teach music theory to beginner students and with success. I would like to do the same with instruments I have been enjoying playing since a young age as well as assist pupils with any upcoming science and 11+ examinations.

As someone who has been through the selection process of 11+ and with success (attending a grammar school from years 7-11), I can use my experience to motivate and guide prospective students to achieving a places at their chosen school, by offering Maths and English sessions.

Having studied Biology and Chemistry both at GCSE and A-Level (achieving A*s and As respectively), I have learnt the importance of laying foundations for each course, resolving any confusions with content and exam practice. As someone who has utilised the help of tutors to achieve high grades during the course of her school life, I would like to provide students with the same service that has benefited me a lot in the past.

Performing is something I do regularly on both instruments. I recently went on an orchestra tour to Romania, on the violin, and will also be going on a week tour to Venice with some top musicians from my old school and playing in distinguished concert venues. Asides from performing, I have excelled in official examinations. I obtained a distinction in my ATCL Trinity College Diploma in Music Performance when I was 15 and achieved a distinction in my grade 6 theory exam when I was 14. Similarly I recently passed my grade 8 violin exam with a distinction.

I am a patient and compassionate teacher which is what I think a person needs if they need help on GCSE Science, 11+ preparation or learning to play a new instrument.
