About Emmanuel P
French student at King's College London studying Business and Management with a specialisation in Economics
As I am particularly drawn to economics and management, I delved into Economics, a very short introduction by Partha Dasgupta and Microeconomics, a very short introduction by Avinash Dixit. This led me to interpret the development of the Singaporean economy through the years and the impact of Brexit on the British economy with written essays on the Brexit and the Singaporean economy that I wrote during a two week summer school at Oxford Royale Academy. I also learned about economics, finance and management during the entreprise course in the academy. In the past few years, I learned economics, social sciences management and marketing. The economics section of the French baccalaureate allowed me to gain a good understanding of this subject, which has inspired me to follow this course at the university level. Additionally, my high-school curriculum centres on literature, social sciences, and mathematics, has equipped me with critical and analytical skills, as well as the ability to apply logic and follow complex lines of reasoning. My history and geography courses not only make us critique maps or articles but also a realistic approach to any task I undertake. The mixture between the literature courses such as philosophy and the social sciences courses allowed me to develop a complex line of reasoning throughout different tasks while mathematics helped me with analytical thinking. After high-school, I specialised in economics, maths and accounting for my university course but still studying social sciences with my course. I am confident that these skills will benefit you during our lessons!
