Growing up in Germany bilingually means I speak both English and German to native proficiency. For the majority of my working life I have had roles where speaking fluent German was essential, so despite living in the UK I have never lost the fluency of my language.
Travel and work experience have also enabled me to gain a good level of French, I would confidently teach young adults and school children year 1 and 2 French, however would not take on any tutoring requirements for advanced French.
In the past I have given a lot of training, teaching and mentoring existing and new staff at work. I have worked in management for the last 10 years (mainly in sales and customer service) and I hold a Diploma in Business Administration.
I believe learning should be fun, especially languages, as they are a great asset. During lessons I will strongly encourage the language student to do the majority of speaking and writing. A language can only be mastered if you overcome your fear of getting it wrong and are persistent in practising the correct grammar, pronunciation and spelling.
