Hello,
I am a third year Actor Musician student at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. I have played Clarinet for 6 years now and have enjoyed every second of it due to my tutors who have made it so and I hope that I can pass this along through my teaching and although I haven’t done the exam, I am working at Grade 8 standard. During my time at Mountview, I have also picked up Saxophone and Flute. I am working towards Grade 8 Saxophone and Grade 5 Flute.
I have experience playing as a soloist and as part of Walsall Symphony Orchestra.
I am currently teaching one to one lessons on a regular basis over a variety of ages and backgrounds of musical ability.
I believe that learning an instrument should be a fun and enjoyable experience whilst at the same time still adopting good technique in order to improve. I'm very happy to focus on Graded studies, however, it is important to me that students enjoy their learning so I'm also happy to help and encourage them with various repertoire that they like to play.
While teaching, I aim to develop my student's understanding of Music Theory, developing their musical knowledge and enabling them to progress onto other instruments in the future.
