About Andy D
Fun and enthusiastic experienced guitar tutor
I have been teaching guitar privately for 6 years, and have over 25 students a week. I mostly teach Rockschool grades, preparing students for exams but I also teach guitar to casual learners. I started playing guitar at the age of 3 and decided to take it seriously at the age of 5, and have gained a Bachelors in music, a Higher Diploma based on Guitar, and a level 3 BTEC in music.
Besides teaching the guitar, I also do session work for artists who need a guitar player for live shows or recordings! My 2 favourite moments playing live was playing Glastonbury festival, and live in LA. I have experience playing pop, funk, metal, rock, blues and acoustic. Some of my influences are Paul Gilbert, Mateus Asato and John Mayer.
I make sure that no matter what style of guitar my students are learning, every lesson is enjoyable. I believe that playing guitar is fun and learning it should be no different.
