From my point of view, teaching is far more than a job or a career- for me, it is a vocation. I enjoy working with young people and giving them the confidence to be the best that they can be, I am passionate about my subjects and love to foster that love of learning in the young people that I work with, I love being creative and use that creativity to find new and exciting ways for my students to learn.

I have been teaching for 5 years and in that time, I have always had at least one GCSE class each year. Consequently, I am experienced in teaching the GCSE course and fully appreciate the various demands of the courses. I have been rated outstanding in terms of my teaching and I have delivered a number of training sessions to other teachers and trainees to share my good practice.

As well as being a confident, experienced teacher, I am also a Head of Year and progressed to middle management a year into my teaching career. My role as a Head of Year means that I have a strong pastoral background as well as skills in teaching and learning.
