About Stephanie B
Maths/bio/French GCSE tutor
Hello!
My name is Stephanie, I'm a medical student and I am offering some tutoring in maths/bio/French (my first language), mainly at GCSE/National 5s level.
Here is my academic journey:
2020-current (2023): MBChB at the University of Glasgow.
2017-2020: BSc (Hons) Medicine at the University of St Andrews (2.1)
2014-2016: IB at Southbank International School
2014 and before: College Stanislas in Paris
I have quite a bit of experience in tutoring (maths, organisational skills/study methods, French), usually through school programs. Whilst it has been a few years since I have actively been a tutor, I am extremely keen on teaching. I have helped my little sister throughout her GCSE and A-levels in sciences and French. I have also been volunteering as a mentor for the Peer-Assisted Learning Scheme of the St Andrews Medical School (a one-to-one study skills program targeted at 1st year medical students) and as a lecturer for the Glasgow University Medical Education Society. I also have had multiple years of experiences working with all ages as a sailing instructor and a babysitter.
I am not currently DBS checked, but do hold the Scottish equivalent (PVG).
Thank you for reviewing my profile, please be in touch should you have any other questions!
