About Campbell K
Higher maths & Physics tutor
Hi, I'm Campbell. I am a 21 year old graduate from the University of Edinburgh and I graduated this year with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout the course of my degree I studied many different modules such as thermofluids, dynamics, structural mechanics, physics, partial differential equations and even management courses so I am well versed in many areas and am happy to teach these to others. I also have 5A's in higher Maths, English, chemistry, physics and RMPS and an A in advanced higher Physics.
I have always had a passion for STEM subjects from birth I was playing with Lego, trying to make a bridge over my teddies. I would love to inspire my students and give them a passion to pursue a STEM degree and eventually a career in STEM.
About me, well I am a recent graduate so currently I am looking for a graduate job hopefully in Scotland but maybe down south if need be. In my free time I like to build things, go camping and hiking, paint, look after my plants and play rugby. I have worked many different jobs such as a front of house staff at a small Pizzeria, deliveroo rider and removals porter so I have great customer service skills and am always polite. I also did 2 weeks of work experience at a special needs school when i was 15 so I am able to work with a very wide range of students. Due to the recent pandemic, there are a lot less opportunities for graduates and therefore I got the idea to start tutoring as I have always enjoyed it and been told I am good at it by friends and family alike. I have a younger sister and I tutored her through both her National 5s and her highers this year as she was struggling to learn from her teachers.
I would like to think I am very approachable, understanding and patient when tutoring and I can teach my subjects up to higher level, i am more than happy to teach my subjects to students of any ability and can alter my techniques accordingly. I don't have a car but I am happy to travel to you as I have a bike and am used to cycling around Edinburgh as I used to be a deliveroo cyclist here.
Hope to hear from you soon,
All the best,
Campbell
