I am PhD candidate at the ISMB (UCL/Bikrbeck) in London working on biochemical/biophysical research problems. I am interested in teaching at all levels and have gained experience working as a postgraduate teaching assistant for over 2 years. More recently I have started to expand into tutoring those who are pre-university (A-Level/ GCSE). I am hoping to build a good client-base and develop my skills to improve the prospects for those working to attain their pre-university qualifications so that they can achieve their goals.

Prior to my PhD studies I obtained a 1st class honours degree in Biochemistry from UCL, where I covered advanced topics in both organic and physical chemistry, alongside specialised biological sub-disciplines such as molecular biology and immunology. Before university I attained A* in Biology and Chemistry A-level and have experience in how to approach exams and revision.

To enable students to achieve their best I believe in allowing them to define the goals of each session. They can outline specific topics and I will use methods such as problem-based learning to help deepen their understanding. I am aware of different exam boards and syllabuses and am able to tailor tutoring to these. I can also expand on topics beyond these to push the boundaries of the tutees knowledgebase.

Outside of study I enjoy climbing, volunteering and cycling. I look forward to meeting you, and getting started with your studies.
