I am a first-class music graduate of Oxford University, and currently teach at a number of independent schools in London as well as enjoying a varied freelance music career. As well as the academic skills needed for GCSE and A level music, I am also able to guide students through theory exams (such as ABRSM grade 5) and university applications.

I am available to help anyone of any subject who hopes to apply to Oxbridge with their application. Whilst content may be different between courses, the essence of writing a stand-out personal statement is similar. Just a few sessions on a personal statement can really help you drive home why they should accept you in a limited number of characters!

As an instrumental teacher, I mainly play saxophone but also am able to teach clarinet, piano, organ, drums and accordion. I usually work as a performer in classical and jazz music, but have also played rock/pop/soul/funk drums, piano and saxophone. I'd be delighted to tailor the genre of music in lessons to your interests!

I have been an instrument teacher for the last 8 years. I have also worked with A level and
GCSE music students on compositions, harmony papers and written exams. As a current student, I have also given advice to A level students on applying to music courses for higher education.
