I am a French and History Student based in London during the term time and Oxfordshire in the holidays. I am passionate about my subjects, and have spent my years in education developing study techniques which I use to help get good results in my exams and which I hope to share with others. I am friendly, approachable, and patient, and can share information in a concise and effective manner. To me, learning is something highly personal that should be tailored to the individual.

I have experience teaching children through previous work as a sports coach, where I learnt invaluable skills for engaging with and teaching young people, such as making lessons fun and enjoyable, and breaking down skills into key learning points. I also spent 6 weeks last summer teaching English to students in Vietnam, ranging from young preschoolers to adults, which was both challenging and rewarding, and honed my ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide variety of people.

I have also worked in customer service on a careline, and in a gym where I also taught fitness classes. Both jobs required strong communication skills, and a friendly, patient manner that I believe are vital in any teaching role.

I am a dedicated student myself. I studied hard and received strong marks at school, and hope to apply the same the approach to my university studies. French has always been a favourite subject of mine, and I won various competitions at school, including a regional oral competition for which the prize was an exchange to New Caledonia. I have developed useful techniques for learning and memorising the French language, which I hope to apply in my teaching.

Above all I believe learning comes from enjoyment, and I hope to combine the use of key skills, effective communication and an enthusiastic approach to make learning fun for others.
