About Kate B
Creative Arts Tutor
Hi,
My name is Kate Kidney Bishop. I am originally Australian but went secondary school in North London and now am based in East London.
I am currently studying an integrated masters in Fashion Media Practice & Criticism at London College of Fashion (University of the Arts London).
Alongside tutoring and studying, I work freelance as a published stylist and art director; a fashion journalist for COEVAL Magazine; a sub-editor and communications executive for CHERRYBOY Magazine and a fashion consultant to XCSS Magazine.
For these roles I have to self-manage and work from my own initiative, be professional at all times, highly organised and punctual and have a thorough understanding of industrial practice and process in arts and fashion communication sectors.
I am acutely aware of the support needed by students in building a portfolio, having built and curated mine independently. The classic education structure used in mainstream schools does not suit all ways of learning and I am someone that benefited from alternative learning styles. I would therefore like to provide this opportunity to others. I will tailor learning and communication techniques to individual students and try to refresh their creative energy and enthusiasm.
I would love the opportunity to be able to help and work with your family!
