Previously an interpreter and translator, now a qualified UK secondary school teacher of French and Spanish available to tutor over the summer months.
I believe the best teachers in life are those that can make their students enthusiastic and passionate about the subject they teach, and a passion for languages in something I have in abundance. My love of languages stems from a childhood spent mostly abroad where I learnt the joy (and necessity) of learning foreign languages, sometimes exposed to languages as different from English as Arabic and Mandarin. Over the course of my life I have learnt that there are places in the world where English is not spoken by everyone and that there are moments in which being able to communicate in the local language can be crucial. Moreover, I believe that I can present language-learning to children not as a chore or a purely intellectual exercise, but instead one which is enjoyable and has a practical real-life application.
