I have been teaching for over eight years now, with students from the ages of 11 - 80 who I feel privileged to have been able to help. I am so proud of the progress they make and the enthusiasm they bring each week. It is a fantastic experience that I will continue to learn from for years to come.
Whether going through the grading system or just playing for fun, I structure lessons around the students own ability and what they want to achieve. I encourage learning to play in various genres, improvisation, and working with theory too should the student wish to.
Music is such a creative and therapeutic skill to have; I believe it is a shared learning experience that everyone should have the chance to develop, in a fun and supportive environment, where the student has just as much say as the tutor.
