I am a second year Business and Marketing student at Coventry University with a predicted grade of 2:1 classification. Studying at Coventry has given me a strong foundation insight in the marketing principles. My long-term plan is to become a fully qualified marketing student, as I have enjoyed and have shown a real interest in the marketing unit I have studied so far.

I am a hardworking student with an ability to hand all my assignments in on time and produce work to a high standard which shows that I have a good work ethic. I think if I take marketing as my course I will be able to apply the skills I have gathered through my GCSE years and BTEC course and put it in to use.
In my BTEC Business Studies course I have done several of different modules but the one I mostly enjoyed was the marketing one. This allowed me to extend my knowledge on my marketing unit and explore the different types of marketing worldwide. We also created a marketing campaign and this built a good structure and knowledge on how it runs and gets created. When we were doing this unit it allowed me to work in groups and present and boost my confidence. It also allowed me to take constructive criticism from my peer members.
I have taken part in a numerous of different events through my school years. One of the most enjoyable event was enterprise week this included us to create a business and sell the items that we came up with. I was the manager of my group this allowed me to build my confidence levels and team leader skills. Our product won the best product award. This also allowed me to use my marketing skills.im also particularly proud of my marketing skills which has been shown and expanded on throughout a number of essays and assignments.im also extremely organised and very keen on detail.
I participated in National Citizen Service (NCS), this made me develop many skills and every week I learnt something different. For the first week we had to be away from home and develop our skills such as camping and living on the outside world. The second week is when I built my skills on a University life where I had to cook and clean for myself and the third week was when we had to make a campaign and work as a team to complete the action campaign. Finally we had a graduation to celebrate the three weeks of hard work and determination. My ability to work in a team has demonstrated in a number of group project. Not only have I learnt to work as a group I have also developed my communication skills and learnt how to deal with problems and tasks. I also take part in badminton as a hobby on the weekends, I really enjoy it as I can relevel all my stress on that sport.
I have taken part in a two weeks of work experience with one week at British Airways, in this placement, I had the opportunity to assist with tasks which include:- welcoming customers to the terminal, assisting them at self-service machines, labelling customers bags, ensuring their travel documents are correct, boarding customers and welcoming premium customers to their airport lounges. This gave me a great introduction to working in a busy airport environment, focusing on gaining knowledge of how to deliver excellent customer service under a variety of pressures. This showed me an insight into the marketing environment and how British airways develop their advertising and marketing skills. The second week was at a primary school, this allowed me to have the opportunity to assist a classroom with children aged 7-8. I also marked books and worksheets.
I have been interested in photography for a long time and now I have started my own photography page, where I post recent pictures I have took and edited. I have been studying photography alongside my course and learn many thing in my spare time and improve my skills.
