About Marianne T
Experienced humanities teacher
I have taught for 13 years in both independent and state schools. I have taught numerous exam classes with a great deal of success. I'm an excellent communicator who can easily build a rapport with all children and young people. I have been an examiner for GCSE and I have prepared lots of A level students for their exams. I was a Head of Department for 6 years and so I understand the inner workings of school life. I know the requirements of 11+ and CE from working in independent schools. I have also worked with children who struggle with literacy and helped improve their performance at secondary school. I am well read and I keep abreast of current developments in eduction and I value evidence based practice. My primary experience is with Religious Studies but I have also taught history and literacy skills.
